Vietnamese martyr. A sailor of Vietnam, he transported Catholic priests of the Paris Foreign Missions Society from Singapore to Vietnam. He was arrested in 1846, imprisoned, tortured, and then beheaded. Pope John Paul II canonized him in 1988.
